Up to $1,500 Available for Low Income Residents to Help with Water Bills at April 14 OLHSA Event

Oakland County, MI – Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency (OLHSA) is pleased to announce Water Assistance Day to help low-income residents with water bills.
Water Assistance Day will take place on Friday, April 14 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Oakland County Health Department headquarters located at 27725 Greenfield Road in Southfield.
OLHSA’s Low Income Household Water Assistance Plan (LIHWAP) can provide up to $1,500 in assistance for residents living in qualifying cities. LIHWAP provides payment assistance for household accounts in arrears or disconnect status (including reconnect fees).
Residents must live in Auburn Hills, Bingham Farms, Bloomfield Hills, Commerce Township, Waterford Township, Farmington Hills, Ferndale, Highland Township, Keego Harbor, Lathrup Village, Madison Heights, Oxford Township, Pontiac, Royal Oak, Royal Oak Township, Southfield, Village of Lake Orion, Village of Oxford, and Village of Fowlerville (Livingston County).
In order to receive assistance residents must provide the following documents:
- ID for all household members ages 18 and over.
- Proof of household income for the last 30 days.
- Social Security Card.
- Current water bill
