Grace Centers of Hope Seeking Donations of Gently-Used Clothing and Household Items
(Grace Centers of Hope, March 16, 2023)
Oak Park, Sterling Heights, Warren, and Waterford, MI – The winter season has had a negative effect on donations to Grace Centers of Hope Thrift Stores and the Pontiac-based nonprofit is making an appeal to metro Detroit residents to donate gently-used clothing and household items to one of its four retail locations.
Grace Centers of Hope Thrift Stores accept a wide variety of items, including gently-used clothing, jewelry, shoes, accessories, furniture, furnishings, kitchenware, outdoor garden necessities, toys and appliances. Items should be in good, workable, and saleable conditions. For a complete list of accepted and non-accepted items, visit www.gracecentersofhope.org. All donated items are tax deductible.
Grace Centers of Hope Thrift Stores turn in-kind donations into program-sustaining revenue. Grace Centers of Hope operates one of the largest transitional shelters in southeast Michigan for men, women and children who are faced with issues of homelessness, addiction, poverty, abuse, and spiritual emptiness. It provides shelter, daily meals, clothing, and comprehensive life skills programs that help individuals find the support, resources and courage to positively change their lives.
The nonprofit does not accept government funding and solely relies on the generosity of neighbors and sales from its four thrift stores to support its annual operating budget.
Donations can be dropped off at Grace Centers of Hope Thrift Stores from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. To schedule a large donation pick-up from your home, call (855) 435-7424.
