Village of Holly Seeks Volunteers for Boards and Commissions

Holly, MI – Looking to make a difference?  The Village of Holly encourages you to join one of our Boards or Commissions.  We are looking for community minded people to become involved.

Meetings are held in the School Board of Education room/ Village Council chambers at 920 E. Baird Street.

  • Opening on the Parks Commission.  The  Parks Commission is charged with an advisory role on parks development, maintenance, improvements and identifying planning and implementing public and private beautification projects. Parks Commission Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm.
  • Opening on the Zoning Board of Appeals.  This commission member would review to appeals from developers and/ or homeowners who request variances or exceptions to the current zoning ordinance. ZBA meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 7pm.
  • Opening on the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission has the responsibility to prepare a master plan, which influences the regulations and standards in the zoning ordinance and any future changes to it. The Planning Commission is also the primary body responsible for approval of Site Plans.  The Planning Commission meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7pm.

Please visit the Village of Holly Offices (300 East Street) to fill out a Citizen Participation Form. Or, Email a completed copy to our Clerk/ Treasurer Deborah J. Bigger at dbigger@hollyvillage.org The completed form will be given to our Village President to recommend applicants to the Village Council. The Council will then vote on approval.  We are excited to have you join us!
