Got Pho in Ferndale Reopens After Cooking Mishap
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Feb. 22, 2023)
Ferndale, MI – Got Pho re-opened today after a small fire on Friday. According to Ferndale Fire Chief Teresa Robinson, “A small fire occurred in the kitchen area of Got Pho on Friday. The restaurant’s fire suppression system effectively extinguished the fire prior to the arrival of the fire department. Minimal damage occurred and Got Pho will be working get approvals to reopen very soon.”
Today we heard back from Got Pho owner Nancy Singh who said that staff had forgotten to turn a pot of Pho broth off. The scorched stock pot “created enough heat to trigger the fire suppression system.” She added, “With that said, we just had to reset the system which was done that same day. Took a few days to do a thorough clean of the kitchen. And restock inventory. Got green light from Health department and Fire Marshall.”
Got Pho opened during the pandemic and has built a following thanks to their quality food. Check out our previous restaurant review here. Learn more about Got Pho online at https://gotphoferndale.com/
