41 Year Old Man Fatally Shot in Pontiac Apartment, Reward Offered for Info Leading to Arrest

Pontiac, MI – A reward of up to $2,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect (or suspects) involved in the fatal shooting of a Pontiac man.
The incident occurred approximately 10:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 60 block of Fireside Lane in the North Hill Farms Apartment Complex. Deputies responded to the report of a man who had been shot while in his apartment. Upon their arrival, deputies located the victim – later identified as 41-year-old Donald James Whitfield – unconscious on the floor with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.
Deputies, along with responding emergency medical personnel, performed lifesaving measures but were unsuccessful. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
