Store Clerk Robbed and Shot in Pontiac, Reward Offered for Info Leading to Arrest

Pontiac, MI – A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest of a man who robbed and then shot a store clerk Saturday in Pontiac.

Deputies were dispatched to a Boost Mobile store on Auburn Avenue near MLK Boulevard approximately 6:43 p.m. on the report of a woman who had been shot.

The clerk, 31, from Pontiac, told deputies a masked gunman came into the store and demanded money from the cash register. The clerk gave the man the money and then he shot her in the abdomen before running away.

The woman was transported to the hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

The suspect is a Black male, about 5-foot 8-inches tall, average weight and was wearing a blue sweatshirt, tan pants, sunglasses, black boots and a black ski mask.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP. Crime Stoppers pays a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Tipsters remain anonymous.
