Restaurant Quest: Orion Coney Express

Lake Orion, MI – Looking for some quick and comforting junk food? Orion Coney Express fits the bill. Coney dogs come in a variety of styles including New York, Chicago, Philly, and Flint style dogs. I had the Detroit Dog – topped with chili, chopped onions, and mustard. Sooo good.
I also ordered the chicken pita so we could show off an entree besides the obvious. The chicken pita had slices of breaded fried chicken, lettuce, tomato, American and Swiss cheese, and mayo. Also a solid choice.
Chili cheese fries were also a delicious mess.
For dessert Orion Coney Express has Ashby’s Ice Cream. I had the mint chocolate chip. There’s also amaretto, moose tracks, Superman, and Michigan pot hole.
Other menu options include burgers, wings, and even a selection of salads including Greek salad, chicken salad, and avocado salad.
