OC Restaurant Quest: 2941 Mediterranean Street Food

Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Hills, Fenton, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak, and Washington Township, MI – There are six locations of 2941 Mediterranean Street Food, a restaurant that boasts of “a casual culinary experience that transports you to the exotic Fertile Crescent, where aromatic spice blends, fresh ingredients, and true passion tantalize your senses.”
My visit was a carryout at the Auburn Hills location which had a warm, comfortable atmosphere and workers who seemed happy and nice. The food was definitely made with care.
The Bazaar Meal is the price of a normal lunch, but is this luxurious platter sampling of many different toppings and dishes. Online ordering makes it easy to build the perfect feast. I had Basmati Rice for the base and steak for the protein. The sauces were garlic sauce and lemon basil labneh. For Torshi I had turnips and beets, and mixed veggies. For other items I selected Moorish coleslaw, nomad salad and signature hummus. For toppings I picked sheep’s feta and Boondi lentil puffs. And for dressing I had the smoked paprika vinaigrette. There were so many textures, colors, and tastes that it was a pure delight to try so many different things. And there were plenty of leftovers.
The meal also came with naan bread, and I got a Sweet Street Chewy Marshmallow square for dessert. The restaurant also offers bowls and sandwiches, as well as meals like Tandoori Chicken, Za’taar Steak, Vegetable Arook Fritter, Morocan Lamb, and Aleppo Pepper Pork. There are also snack size servings of items like Falafel, Lamb and Hummus, Peasant Fattoush Salad, Chunky Tzatziki, Kaleboulleh and more.
