Teens Invited to Apply for Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion Youth Council

Michigan – Are you a teen between the ages of 16-18 and lives in Wayne, Oakland, or Macomb County?

The Youth Council for Racial and Social Justice is a new 11 month leadership program that is taking applicants!

The Youth Council for Racial and Social Justice will connect 10 teens from Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties to engage in leadership development and advocacy opportunities for social issues that are most relevant to the council. Council members will learn and develop skills like goal setting, public speaking, event planning, facilitation, and more! Members will develop programming that reaches their community and peers.

The Youth Council will run from February 2023 – December 2023 and will be primarily online. The Youth Council will have bi-weekly 2-hour virtual meetings with occasional in-person trainings and events. Equivalent to 8 hours/month commitment.

Stipends will be provided to Council Members!
