Suspect Charged with Firing Shots at Driver in Ferndale

Ferndale, MI – On December 31, 2022, at approximately 3:19 a.m., a 27-year-old Oak Park female entered the Ferndale Police lobby to report a shooting that occurred in the 200 block of Leroy at 1:51 a.m.
On-scene investigation revealed that a non-fatal shooting had occurred.
A suspect fired multiple shots into the vehicle the victim was driving, and several shots struck the vehicle. There were no injuries, and the suspect fled the area.
This case was presented to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office and an arrest warrant was authorized.
On January 4, 2023, the Oakland County Fugitive Team arrested the suspect without incident. On January 5, 2023, Bryant Kamin Davis, 29, of Detroit was arraigned by 43 rd District Court Magistrate Brennan on the following charges:
Assault with Intent to Murder,1 count, felony
Felon in Possession of a Firearm, 1 count, felony
Davis was given a $250,000 cash or surety bond and is scheduled to appear next on January 12, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
