Reporter’s Quest to Try Every Restaurant in Oakland County Continues into New Year

Oakland County, MI – Since the journey to explore the culinary offerings of Oakland County began, OC Times Publisher Crystal Proxmire has featured over 300 local restaurants a food column which is now called the Oakland County Restaurant Quest. The column, formerly called “Reporter Food,” is sponsored by White Castle, which is a family-owned fast food chain known for their steam-grilled sliders, clever marketing campaigns, and generations of memories.
The column features everything from family diners and local bars, to flavors from around the world, and the some of the most imaginative and delicious restaurants in the area. It’s great being able to try new things and support local businesses!
Among the restaurants featured are Oakland County Times sponsors Howe’s Bayou in Ferndale and several Ferndale restaurants in the Hometown Restaurant Group (Public House, Pop’s for Italian, Tigerlily, One-Eyed Betty’s, and Mai Tiki. In Northern Oakland County we’ve included Holly Cafe, who is also a sponsor. Plus there is Chazzano Coffee which is currently in the process of moving from Ferndale to Berkley.
