Video: New President Talks about Plans for Orion Area Chamber

Lake Orion, MI – The Orion Area Chamber of Commerce is ready to start the year off with new energy and leadership with new President and CEO Joyce Donaldson at the helm.

Donaldson came to the Orion community after 18 years of experience and continuing education in chamber leadership positions.  She got her start in the Romeo-Washington Chamber before moving to California where she worked first in the Indio Chamber of Commerce, then the Capinteria Valley Chamber of Commerce, then as CEO of a freshly created Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber which included the Carpinteria Valley. She returned to Michigan to be near family, and to accept the Orion Chamber position.

The energetic new director has spent the past month diving into her new role – meeting members, recruiting new ones, and helping make the annual Impact Awards luncheon a success.  (Check out pictures from the luncheon and the award winners here).
