Village of Bingham Farms Seeking Applicants to Fill Council Vacancy

Bingham Farms, MI – The 7-member Village Council has a vacancy. Lisa Blackburn vacated her trustee position upon being sworn in as village president on November 21. Blackburn was the lone village president candidate on the November 8 ballot.

Per the Village Charter, vacancies on the council must be filled within 30 days of occurrence. Appointment will be made at council’s Monday, December 19 meeting. Residents interested in applying for the vacancy should complete an application and submit it to the village office. The application is attached.

Trustees serve four-year terms. The appointee will serve for the remaining two years of Blackburn’s trustee term, which expires in November 2024. Council meets monthly on the fourth Monday at 7 pm. Council study sessions are held at 5:30 pm on the Wednesday before the regular meeting.
