Sheriff’s Office Seeks Information on Early Morning Fatal Shooting in Pontiac

Pontiac, MI – Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating the early morning shooting death today of a woman in Pontiac. The body of the 22-year-old woman was found lying on the sidewalk in front of a home in the 300 block of W. Columbia Ave.
The woman is believed to have ties to Pontiac and Detroit although the location of her residence is unclear. Deputies were called to the scene at 4:22 a.m. today on a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they found the woman’s body on the sidewalk. She was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was scheduled.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP. Crime Stoppers pays a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest. Tipsters remain anonymous.
