Lake Orion Lions Club Collecting Gifts and Cash for Families in Need

(Lake Orion Lions Club, Dec. 4, 2022)

Lake Orion, MI- Many families will enjoy the excitement of their children or grandchildren opening gifts on
Christmas with shouts of joy, sparkling eyes, and huge smiles. However, there will also be
many families where the excitement will be more subdued, the smiles less big, and the eyes
a little sad.
Here’s where you and the Lake Orion Lions Club come in. The Lions and community
volunteers will be delivering boxes of food and gifts to over 200 families who could use a
little help at the holiday. Their budgets are tight. Food on the table and gas in the car are
the main priorities. The LO Lions are seeking gifts of toys, games, and other gifts for ages 2
to 18. Also, a donation of $25 helps us give a gift card for a teenager.
Think back to when you were a child and how you looked forward to Christmas with
dreams of a special toy or a new game you couldn’t wait to play. Children today feel the
same way. They too have dreams and wishes.

You can help a child have a memorable Christmas this year. You can put your unwrapped
toy or game in one of the Lake Orion Lions donation boxes:
– Orion Township Hall across from Canterbury Village
– The Orion Public Library on Joslyn just north of Clarkston Road
– Liberty Way Realty on M-24 across from McDonald’s
– Wonder Cleaners on M-24 next to Darrell’s Restaurant in Lake Orion
– Wonder Cleaners on M-24 next to Harvest Time Market in Oxford
Donation boxes will be in place until Wed, Dec 14 th .

If you don’t have time to shop, you can mail your check for $25 made out to the Lake
Orion Lions to PO Box 225, Lake Orion, MI 48361. You can also go to
www.lakeorionlions.org and click the donation button on the bottom of the page.
Thank you for helping a child have a merrier Christmas that he or she will remember for
years.
