Dec 3 – LA Dance Ballet Company Presenting Nutcracker Performance in Lake Orion
Lake Orion, MI – L.A. Dance’s Ballet Company is delighted to announce a return to the stage on December 3rd at the Lake Orion High School for their 9th Annual Nutcracker. As with most live performing arts companies, the 9th annual season was altered first due to the pandemic in 2020, and then by the Oxford High School shooting tragedy in 2021. Their performance was due to hit the stage that weekend. L.A. Dance quickly shifted gears to share their annual holiday performance with the release of 2021’s live-streamed Nutcracker with all proceeds going to the Oxford families impacted by that terrible event.
The one and only original, L.A. Dance’s Nutcracker was first performed at a local middle school with minimal costumes and props. Over the years, the first weekend in December has now become synonymous with L.A. Dance’s Nutcracker, a cherished holiday tradition for countless performers and their families and friends, as well as the hundreds of audience members who share in the experience year after year.
L.A. Dance is thrilled to welcome back exceptional guest artists from all over Michigan, with more than 100 dancers from L.A. Dance’s own company and the surrounding community.
L.A Dance’s production of The Nutcracker is one of the greatest artistic collaborations in the area featuring the talents of master choreographers, distinguished guest artists, accomplished dancers, seasoned stage technicians, costume designers, and a host of dedicated volunteers. L.A. Dance’s Nutcracker is a treat for the entire family!
