OC Restaurant Quest: Oakland Diner in Pontiac
(C. Proxmire, Nov. 17, 2022)
Pontiac, MI – For a sweet and savory breakfast I recently got to try Oakland Diner at 940 Jocelyn Avenue in Pontiac. This family restaurant offers breakfast and lunch options.
For the sweet side I had the Stuffed Nutella Fruit French Toast topped with fresh strawberries, bananas, and Nutella. I also ordered the Eggs and Corned Beef Hash, with fresh housemade corned beef hash that was delicious.
Other breakfast items include a variety of waffles and bananas. The Garden Skillet is made with grilled onions, green peppers, tomatoes, fresh mushrooms, and fresh spinach on top of hash browns layered with Swiss cheese and topped with three eggs (any style).
Lunchtime options include pitas, sandwiches, burgers and wraps. There are also a variety of salads, including the Strawberry Chicken Salad made with mixed greens, strawberries, walnuts, and mandarin oranges. Check out the full menu at https://oakland-diner.business.site/
