Nov 14 – Surviving the Holocaust in Plain Sight, Daughter to Share Mother’s Story at Springfield Twp Library

Springfield, MI – Join us to hear from local speaker Emily Cord Duthinh as she discusses her mother, Holocaust survivor, Edith Mayer Cord and her life. Edith Mayer Cord was the author of Finding Edith: Surviving the Holocaust in Plain Sight, a coming-of-age story of a young Jewish girl hiding in Europe during World War II. 

The book describes the childhood and adolescence of a Viennese girl growing up against the backdrop of the Great Depression, the rise of Nazism, World War II, and the religious persecution of Jews throughout Europe.
