Mt. Clemens, MI – If Halloween, or maybe a certain Netflix series, has you curious about death and the human body, then a visit to the Anatomy of Death Museum in Mt. Clemens could be an educational adventure.

The museum itself has over 30 human skulls, as well as other bones that have been used for medical education purposes.  There are also funeral-related items including embalming tools of the eras past, caskets and funeral attire, body bags and more. The website calls it “A place dedicated to the dead and the tools used to usher them into the afterlife.”

There’s also a gift shop, full of oddities for those who want to bring the spirit of the macabre home with them – including alligator heads, deceased bats, skulls of various animals, snakeskin, mummified baby pigs, etc.  A coloring book of serial killers or some jewelry made out of bones could also make a great gift.

The Anatomy of Death Museum is located at 292 Cass Avenue in Mt. Clemens.  Find the latest hours and info on their Facebook page.
