OC Restaurant Quest: Maruca’s Kitchen in Holly
Holly, MI- It was fun checking back in with Maruca’s Kitchen in Holly after having covered their ribbon cutting in 2020. Pictures from the event are hung on their walls, a reminder that the heart of Maruca’s is the team of family and friends who keep the popular authentic Mexican restaurant going.
Meruca’s has a few booths for dining in, and it’s easy to order a carryout.
For my recent visit I had the burrito with steak, beans, rice, cheese, salsa, and sour cream. I also had two tacos. One was the Americano Taco. I opted for the steak version, which came on a flour tortilla, topped with lettuce and cheese, and served with a side of salsa. And the second was the regula taco, also made with steak, served on a corn tortilla with cilantro, onion, and lime with a side of salsa. Guests can also choose chicken, pork, or ground beef. Everything was made fresh and tasted delicious.
Other menu items include fajita plates, chalupas, nachos, taco salad and even desserts like tres lehes, churros, and cheesecake. There are bags of house made tortilla chips available as well.
Maruca’s is located at 1006 N Saginaw St in Holly. They do not have a website, but you can find their menu on Facebook.
