Holly Community Celebrates Holly Days
(Liam Feeney, Sept. 19, 2022)
Holly, MI – It has been quite the summer in Holly; from the fire that dominated the talk of the town, to the car show that made its way back downtown once again, to the annual Memorial day parade, Holly was certainly busy this summer.
But nothing could compare to the excitement and busy rush that comes with Holly’s annual Holly Days festival.
From local vendors selling goods at the farmers market, to the parade of veterans and other citizens of town, even down to the live music and beer tent hosted by the Moose Club it is all about Holly this time of year.
It started off with the color run and parade, followed by various activities and lunch-ins downtown, plus a community play day at Crapo Park on Friday.
Then on Saturday it was pie eating contest, live music and beer tent, and a fireworks show over the downtown.
Sunday saw the farmers market and old school baseball sponsored by Carry Nation.
Just taking a few moments in downtown you could feel the energy and joy from the various activities taking place, showing once again how strong the bonds are in the Holly community.
