Reporter Food: Atrium in Walled Lake

Walled Lake, MI- Our quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County brought me recently to Walled Lake, for breakfast at Atrium, located at 800 North Pontiac Trail.

I was delighted to try their Eggs Benedict with hash browns and hot chocolate. Eggs Benedict is a sandwich of ham, poached eggs, and Hollandaise sauce on an English muffin. Atrium also features a selection of omelettes and an option to create you own with item choices like broccoli, ham, onions, bacon, sausage, tomato, various cheeses and more.

On the sweet side are options like double berry nut pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, and Cinna-Bun swirl French toast.

The lunch and dinner menus seem impressive, with items like the Cubano sandwich (made with ham & bacon, roasted pork, house pickles, mustard, cheddar & swiss), pork ribs with Korean style bbq sauce, beef wellington, New York strip steak with chimichurri sauce, wild mushroom risotto, and a selection of house-made pastas.

Their website, www.atriumwalledlake.com, has remarkably beautiful photos of the menu items which really showcase the food choices. The restaurant itself is a beautiful adaptation of a former Big Boy restaurant, with their sign maintaining that familiar shape. Enjoy a comfortable meal there, or take advantage of easy online ordering.
