Reporter Food: Grill and Curry Indian Cuisine in Berkley

Berkley, MI –  The flavors of authentic Indian food shine at Grill and Curry Indian Cuisine in Downtown Berkley.

A friend and I recently ordered as assortment of items for a carryout feast.

For starters there was Onion Pakora – deep-fried onion slices in a gluten-free and vegan chickpea flour batter that was crispy and delicious.  We also had Onion Naan Classic Indian bread layered with onions and baked in the oven.  For my main course I had Lamb Biriyani Indian style fried rice with lamb, raisins, and
almonds.  My friend had Chana Masala which is a dish of garbanzo beans cooked with
grounded cashews and rich creamy masala sauce.

For dessert we had Gulab Jamun which are juicy, soft homemade cheese balls served with sweet syrup.

Everything was well-prepared and delicious.

Other menu items include a variety of samosas, butter chicken, shrimp tandoori, paneer makhni, beggie curry, kadai bhindi and much more.
