Video: A Minute and a Half of Animals at St Clair Metropark

(Crystal A. Proxmire, July 19, 2022)

Harrison Township, MI – Lake St. Clair Metropark is a great place to walk and see wildlife while also enjoying the sights of the beautiful Lake St. Clair.  The area is known for attracting migratory birds of many species, as well as other types of animals. People also enjoy the park because of the beach, the playground, the par three golf course, the marina, and more.

Here’s video of a recent trip, including the delight of watching a group of minks cross the trail, in their adorably cautious way, as well as a blue heron taking off for flight, and nice up close moment watching a muskrat gnaw at some vegetation before swimming off.

Lake St. Clair Metropark is located at 31300 Metro Pkwy, Harrison Charter Township, MI 48045.  Learn more on their website.
