July 22 – Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Hosting Career Fair
Bloomfield Township, MI – Ever considered a career in law enforcement? The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office may be just the place for you.
The Sheriff’s Office is holding a career fair on Friday July 22 from 1-7 p.m. at Golling Chrysler, 2405 S. Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township. Opportunities are available in corrections, road patrol and communications.
“We encourage anyone who feels a calling to make a difference in the community to come and learn more about our opportunities,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. “We see this not just as a job, but a way to make a difference in peoples’ lives.”
Attendees will have a chance to meet and speak with Road Patrol Deputies, Corrections Deputies and Dispatchers and hear first-hand what it’s like working for the 15th largest sheriff’s office in the country out of more than 3,000.
The Sheriff’s Office Recruiting Team will be present to answer questions about job types and requirements, salaries, benefits, and multiple chances for advancement. The Sheriff’s Office is offering a $3,225 signing bonus for new recruits interested in becoming Corrections Deputies, with an annual salary of $40,100-$65,817. Dispatchers range from $41,839-$64,527 and Road Patrol Deputies from $56,018-$76,227.J
