Bicyclist Assaulted, Pushed into Dequindre Traffic by Angry Driver

Troy, MI- On Dequindre Road and Big Beaver Road, 07/07/2022 at 9:23 AM: Officers were dispatched to the area for a welfare check after a witness reported he observed a male exit a pickup truck and push a female off her bicycle into traffic.

Officers arrived in the area and located the victim who had minor injuries. The victim reported she was riding her bicycle on the sidewalk of Dequindre approaching Parliament Drive when a pickup truck stopped, blocking the crosswalk.

She went around the back of the truck and as she did, her bike’s handlebar hit the bed of the truck. The victim continued on but the truck followed her and pulled into a driveway further up, blocking the path. As she attempted to go around the vehicle, the driver exited the truck and pushed her into southbound Dequindre traffic. The driver of the truck then fled the scene.
