Lake Orion, Orion Township, Rochester Hills, and Oakland Township – In the race for County Commissioner of the 6th District, Democrat Sarah Pounds is unopposed in the Democratic Primary.
In the Aug. 2 Republican Primary the candidates are current Commissioner Michael Gingell, and Heather Smiley.
The winner of the Republican Primary is expected to face Pounds in the Nov. 8, 2022 election.
