June 26 – Hometown Pasta Slam in Ferndale to Benefit Affirmations

Ferndale, MI- – Hometown Restaurant Group and Pops For Italian will host the first annual Hometown Pasta Slam competition and tasting dinner from 3-7, Sunday, June 26 at Pops For Italian, 280 W. 9 Mile Rd., in downtown Ferndale.

Vote for your favorite dish, as chefs from Hometown Restaurant Group (Pops for Italian, One-Eyed Bettys, Public House), prepare six unique pasta dishes and wine pairings in hopes of earning the Pasta Slam champion title and earning a spot on our menu.

The evening will include special guest judges Jared Bobkin, Andrea Isom and Holly Hutton as they will crown the judges champion as well from 6-7pm.

Tickets include six unlimited pasta dishes, appetizers, salad and dessert, as well as a special gifts and a chance to win unique prizes, including a 75-inch television, family memberships to the Detroit Zoo; a $250 gift basket from Reid Salon; and gift cards to local Ferndale businesses.

Activities will include meeting our chefs, sommelier consulting, 360-degree photo booth and sampling dishes from Pops for Italian’s menu.

Tickets are $100 per person, with $25 of each ticket donated to Affirmations LGBTQ+ community center.

VIP Tickets:

VIP Tickets for this event are available for $150, which grant the ticket holder early entry/priority service (2-3pm); an exclusive Hometown gift basket from participating sponsors; and entry into the Hometown VIP Tasting Club for special offers on future events.
