Holly, MI – Up in the woods of northern Oakland County, many animals enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. On a recent hike near Holly we spotted a group of young raccoons, called a nursery. Raccoons typically spend the first 8-12 months of their lives with their nursery before going off on their own to mate. This adorable group was undeterred by our presence, giving us a good couple minutes of foraging and frolicking to film.
Please note that approaching wild animals, even cute ones, can be dangerous. It’s also best for them not to be disturbed.
