Reporter Food: Chubby Charlies Pizza

Clarkston, Waterford, MI- Chubby Charlies is a local pizza chain with locations that include Waterford, Clarkston, and Shelby Township. Their pride and joy is featured on their website – the “Famous Dill Pickle Pizza.” Living up to its name, this delicious crust is topped with creamy garlic sauce, layers of sliced dill pickles, topped with a blend of cheeses. Absolutely amazing.

Chubby Charlies has a few unique pizza options, including the Chicken Florentine topped with Alfredo, fresh spinach and chicken, The Tuscan which is sauce-free topped with mushrooms, roasted peppers, artichokes, fresh garlic and cheese, and also the Reuben Pizza with corned beef, kraut and Charlie’s sauce. Other choices include the Sicilian, the Philly Steak n Chz, the BLT and the Caprese.

Chubby Charlies also has rib tips, sandwiches, salads, pasta dishes and more. Though I did not indulge, the pasta section is impressive. Among the comfort foods are Chicken Cacciatore, Bacon Carbonara, Fettuccine (done several ways), Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Bruschetta, and of course Spaghetti and Meatballs. For salads there’s the Antipasto, Caesar, Garden, and Greek.

I got mine from the Chubby Charlies in Clarkston at 5899 Dixie Hwy. There are also locations in Roseville, Shelby Township, and Waterford. Options may vary by store. Check out the full menu and easy online ordering at https://www.chubbycharlies.com.
