Reporter Food: Mor-Tacos in Bloomfield Township
(Crystal A. Proxmire, May 26, 2022)
Bloomfield Township, MI – Mor-Tacos at 2442 Franklin Road in Bloomfield Township is mainly a carry-out place, but there are a few tables with tied-together milk crates for the seating. I opted for a carryout meal of three tacos, rice, and a tasty dessert.
For the tacos I had a flour al pastor (grilled pork), a flour carnitas (pulled pork), and a corn taco with pollo (chicken). Each came topped with radishes, cilantro, onions, and a lime. For dessert I had the galleta maria, a cake made of vanilla cookies and a tart cream. To drink I had the Sangria Senoral which had a grape flavor to it.
The menu is intentionally simple, with a selection of taco fillings including vegetarian, barbacoa (shredded beef), and chorizo. For those who want something a little cheesier there is the quesadilla, with or without protein.
In addition to the galleta maria, guests may order Ganzito and Bubulubu sweet packaged cakes.
According to their website, the restaurant opened in 2020 with a website saying they are “revolutionizing the way people think of Mexican Food. Making tacos for the future in your very own presents. Finding new and better ways to serve you through Technology.”
