DIA’s Inside Out Art Installations Come to Several Communities, Including Holly, Southfield, Madison Heights, Royal Oak and More

Holly, Birmingham, Troy, West Bloomfield, Southfield, Farmington, Royal Oak, Southfield, Farmington Hills, Auburn Hills, Madison Heights, MI – The Detroit Institute of Arts Inside|Out pieces are being installed in the 26 cities chosen for the 2022 program in cities throughout the Metro Detroit area. Each community will display between four and 10 reproductions.
Inside|Out brings high-quality reproductions of masterpieces from the DIA’s collection to outdoor venues throughout metro Detroit. Through this program, the DIA has partnered with more than 100 communities across the region.
Pieces will be on view from May through early November. This year’s communities are Holly, Lincoln Park, Birmingham, River Rouge, Troy, West Bloomfield, Centerline, Southfield, Warren, Farmington, Armada, New Baltimore, Greektown, Macomb Community College, Canton, Royal Oak, Southfield, Farmington Hills, Auburn Hills, Madison Heights and more.
Nick Klempp, Director of the Holly DDA, is excited about the exhibit. He told Oakland County Times “I am honored that the DIA picked Holly as one of the places to display their great pieces of art. It really ads to Holly’s ambiance and I know people will want to spend some time looking at them and reading about them. I look forward in the near future to an official ribbon cutting and soon it will be up on our website as a tour option of the downtown.”

May 23
- Oakland Community College at 7 a.m.
- Highland Lakes, Auburn Hills campuses
- Indian Springs and Wolcott Mill Metroparks at 8 a.m.
May 24
- Oakland County Parks at 6 a.m.
- Leonard, Clarkston
- Willow Metropark in New Boston at 4 a.m.
May 25
- Oakland County Parks at 4 a.m.
- Southfield, Madison Heights
- Wayne County Community College District at 3 p.m.
- Taylor, Belleville campuses
May 26
- Wayne County Community College District at 7 a.m.
- Northwestern, Eastern, Harper Woods campuses
