Reporter Food: Green Apple Family Restaurant Waterford

Waterford, MI – Green Apple Family Restaurant is a neighborhood staple in Waterford Twp with breakfast, lunch and dinner at two locations. I decided to test out breakfast with both a savory and a sweet option.

The homemade corned beef hash and eggs came with has browns, onions, green peppers, and succulent corned beef.  I had my eggs over easy so everything could be mixed together.  My sweet side was satisfied by pancakes topped with fresh strawberries.

There is a menu with many options. For breakfast the selection of omelettes is impressive, including the steak omelette, the Irish omelette, ham and cheese, gyro and Swiss, health club, and spinach and feta. The steak and eggs section of the menu includes pork chops, country fried steak, NY strip, ground round, and Delmonico. For lunch or dinner one might try the roast chicken, BBQ ribs and shrimp, beef and cheese ravioli, lamb shanks, turkey roll ups, mushroom and Swiss burgers and more.

The restaurant has a family feel, with plenty of booths and a deal that kids eat free on Mondays and Tuesdays with the purchase of an adult meal.
