Ferndale Schools Seeking AmeriCorps Reading and Math Interventionists
Ferndale, MI – Ferndale Schools are looking for AmeriCorps reading and math interventionists for the upcoming school year. In Michigan, 1 in 2 third graders struggle to read at grade level and 40% of 7th graders are proficient in math. You can make a difference by giving your time and talent to help students become successful readers and learners.
Interventionists work one-on-one with kindergarten – 3rd grade students (reading) or with pairs of 4th-8th graders (math). No matter if you’re a recent grad, career changer, stay-at-home parent or retiree, you can make a great tutor. No experience? No problem. Interventionists receive great training, so they are well equipped to help students grow.
Part-time and full-time positions are available in Ferndale Schools for the coming school year! Reading Corps and MEC Math Corps positions begin on Aug 29, 2022.
