Explore: A Stroll Through Downtown Auburn Hills

Auburn Hills, MI – Even on days that are a mix of springtime sunshine and wintertime snow, Downtown Auburn Hills is full of little details for someone out enjoying a stroll to see.
The area around Auburn and Squirrel roads features a well-planned cluster of modern buildings, with restaurants and offices, as well as recently constructed apartments and town homes. The Clinton River runs though the city, and Riverside Park takes advantage of the beautiful waterway by offering play equipment, picnic tables, public art, and a small area for outdoor concerts and other gatherings.
The ducks also gather at Riverside Park, where even on imperfect days people of all ages also flock so they can feed their quacking, flying friends.
Hungry humans may also be delighted by the dining options in Downtown Auburn Hills, including Duffy’s Pub, Blue Skies Brewery, Haus of Brunch, The Family Table Cafe, and Larco Bros. Pizza.
Auburn Road also is home to University Center, which is a gathering place with classrooms that is shared by multiple schools including Oakland University, Oakland Community College, Baker College, Thomas M. Cooley Law School and the Avondale School District. Plus all of Downtown Auburn Hills has wifi that can be used in the buildings and outside for those looking for a pretty place to check emails or read fascinating websites like Oakland County Times.
Other photogenic features include the Armillrary Sundial which was originally purchased int he 1870s, an alley decorated with arches of iron-made roses, and a memorial in honor of those who lost their lives in World War II.
