Rochester, MI – Rochester Mills Beer Co. is known for their unique location (inside the historic Western Knitting Mill building in Downtown Rochester), and for their selection of craft beers brewed right onsite. They also have really good food.
I opted for a comforting takeout meal of authentic Hungarian Goulash. This is a hearty portion of housemade spaetzle noodles topped with a stew of tender beef sirloin tips and onions in Hungarian gravy and topped with sour cream. This came with a slice of cheesy garlic bread. Such a great meal for a chilly day, and a true traditional treat!
I also had the Caesar Salad which comes with IPA style Ceasar dressing, beautiful shaved parmsean, and homemade croutons. The salad was made fresh with care, with the crisp refreshing lettuce going well with my main choice.
Rochester Mills has selections of burgers, sandwiches, pasta dishes, and pizza. Other “Brewery Favorites” include the Brewmaster’s Shepher’s Pie, Beer-Batterd Fish-n-Chips, Barbie-Q Baby-Back Ribs, and an 8 ounce Ribeye Filet that comes with Brussels sprout hash and house seasoned fries.
They’ve been in business since 1998, and definitely have the recipe down for pleasing hungry customers. And according to their customers, they’re “the largest beer producing brewpub in Michigan, consistently brewing over 1500 bbl. annually.”
Located at 400 Water Street, Rochester Mills Beer Co. has onsite parking and easy online ordering, plus plenty of inside seating in the creatively adapted space. Learn more at https://www.beercos.com.
