Oakland County, MI – Oakland County Times is a grassroots community news site that relies on our readers for support. We’re raising money to fund local journalism in 2022, with resources going to help with paying reporters, technology needs, and basic expenses. We are also working on getting a new website, and your support will help make that possible.
Oakland County Times provides:
-Local news coverage in smaller communities in Oakland County that are ignored by corporate media.
-Nonpartisan candidate interviews for local elections.
-Event Page to help promote local events and keep readers informed, as well as photography and memories for those we are able to cover.
-Support of local restaurants with our Reporter Food Quest to showcase every indie restaurant in Oakland County.
-A place for people to learn what’s going on without divisive stories, clickbait, nasty comments, or clutter.
-Journalism that helps make communities better.
