Reporter Food: Roadside B&G in Bloomfield Township
(Crystal A. Proxmire, March 8, 2022)
Bloomfield Twp, MI – Roadside B&G in Bloomfield Township calls itself “retro-inspired,” and “a casually cool bar and gill with that old Norther Michigan roadhouse feel.”
Located on Telegraph just south of Orchard Lake Road, it’s easy to dine in or carryout creative, quality foods. For a recent visit I had the grilled salmon burger, topped with arugula, a tasty and picturesque pickled green tomato, and dill remoulade or a soft fresh bun. This thick and delicious sandwich went well with the balsamic glazed Brussels sprouts.
I also had the pineapple upside cake, topped with Michigan-made Ray’s vanilla ice cream.
Roadside offers a menu full of creative dinner selections. The Tuscan Tenderloin Steak sounds like a good choice, featuring Kale, Romaine, Tomatoes, Fingerling Potatoes, Marinated Portobello Mushrooms, Red Onion, Feta Cheese, Black Pepper Balsamic Vinaigrette. Other choices include Kobe meatloaf, lobster mac n cheese (with Ritz topping), and short rib tacos. Butterscotch pudding and triple chocolate icebox cake join the pineapple one on the dessert menu. And there are also carry-out wine options.
Roadside B&G is located at 1727 S. Telegraph Road, and is currently open only in the evenings. Order online at https://roadsidebandg.com/ They’re part of of the Roberts Restaurant Group, which includes Streetside Seafood, Bill’s, Cafe ML, and Beverly Hills Grill.
