Douglas and Harris Advance to May 3 Election for 43rd District State Rep

Waterford, Lake Angelus, Clarkston, and Independence Township, MI – In the March 1 primary, Democrat Kent Douglas and Republican Mike Harris won their respective primaries and will face each other on the May 3, 2022 ballot for State Rep in the 43rd District.
The special election is being held to fill the seat left vacant after the death of Andrea Schroeder.
Douglas was unopposed in the Democratic Primary, and received 4,560 votes.
In the Republican Primary, Harris got 3,604 votes.
Coming in second was Heidi Warrington with 2,285 votes. Anthony Bartolotta got 1,126 votes, and Linda Ybarra Bozzone got 344.
