Reporter Food: Avia Family Dining in Downtown Holly

(Crystal A. Proxmire, Feb. 23, 2022)

Holly, MI – Up in the quaint little town of Holly is a family restaurant with a large menu of classic favorites – including delicious breakfast options – called Avia.

I’m there pretty regularly. The family-friendly prices, big comfy booths, and charming staff make it a great place to write and enjoy a meal.  This post combines a couple visits, so I can share a few great ways to start the day.

Soft, sweet, and syrupy – pancakes are a popular choice.

There are also a selection of omelettes.  My favorite is the Albanian omelette, made with onion, green pepper, tomatoes, green olives, feta, and provolone.  Another good choice is the Country omelette, with sausage, onion, green pepper, American cheese, hash browns, and sausage gravy.

Avia also has lunch and dinner choices. Previously I’ve written about their Veal Parmesan.  Other items include the meatloaf, roast turkey, center cut pork chops, beef ravioli, fried jumbo shrimp and more.

Avia is located at 111 S. Saginaw Street in Downtown Holly. They can also be found on Facebook.
