Reporter Food: Parker’s Hilltop Brewery in Clarkston
Clarkston, MI- I’m pretty sure that the Tony’s Pizza at Parker’s Hilltop Brewery in Clarkston now takes first place for my most unusual pizza review.
This masterpiece is a seemingly random mix of indulgent flavors that made for a complex and delicious meal. This pizza, listed under their “stoned pizza” category, comes topped with fried chicken, sweet Thai chili, mozzarella, blue cheese, bacon, green onion and ranch. If you read that list again, try to think of each flavor and how they go together. It’s pretty ingenious.
Other pizza choices include the Pepperoni and Mushroom, Willy’s Pie (house-made apple jalepeno BBQ sauce, cedar smoked pulled pork, pickled onions and white BBQ sauce) and the MTB (mozzarella, tomato, and basil). Other menu items include burgers and sandwiches like the Eggcelent Burger (topped with cheddar, bacon, and egg) and the Clarkston Cheesesteak (roasted prime rib, caramelized onions, and American cheese on a house-made hoagie).
For dessert I tried Dave’s Carrot Cake which came served with cinnamon pecans and ice cream. Everything was delicious.
