Police Investigating Two Apparent Homicides in Hazel Park ONGOING

Hazel Park, MI – Hazel Park Police as well as Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and other nearby departments are on the scene of what appears to be a double homicide at at 21502 John R, a business called the Ivy Room, but bearing the name Timeless Gallery. City Manager Ed Klobucher confirmed that two males are dead “of apparent homicide after an event” at that location.
He added that “There is no ongoing threat to the public.”
UPDATE: “Officers arrived on scene and found two Black males seated in a black Mercedes that were deceased from apparent gunshots. At the time of the shooting, the hall was being rented by family for a remembrance gathering of a person that was killed last year. Persons in the hall and parking lot fled from the area after the shooting,” said police in a statement. Police had been called at 4:43pm Friday. No arrests have been made as of Saturday morning.
