Royal Oak Library Announces New Hours

Royal Oak, MI – The Royal Oak Public Library will be changing its hours starting January 18, 2022. The new hours will be:

• Monday through Thursday 9 am-8 pm
• Friday through Saturday 9 am-6 pm.
• Sunday 1 pm-5 pm (seasonal)
• 

“We are continually seeking ways to better meet the needs of our community,” stated Library Director Sandy Irwin. “Our statistics have shown that our busiest time is when we open at 10 am and our slowest hour was between 8-9 pm.”

The Library had surveyed the public about the potential change, with 88.4 percent of online responses and 71.4 percent of written responses in favor of the new hours. The Library Board voted to approve the new hours at their December meeting.
