Reporter Food: Red Ox Tavern in Auburn Hills

Auburn Hills, MI- Red Ox Tavern calls itself an “upscale sports bar,” and indeed seems to fit the description – a popular place with lots of TVs and drinking options, but also a more sophisticated menu than you’d expect in a sportsy type place.
I carried out a pizza, a salad, and and the fried cauliflower. The fried cauliflower was amazing, topped with sesame seeds, green onions, and a sweet 
chili sauce. Even writing this now my mouth is starting to water, that’s how good this was.
The Chopped Chicken Club salad was also amazing. Crisp mixed greens, chopped grilled chicken, bacon, tomato, red onion, cucumber and gorgonzola cheese tossed with creamy gorgonzola dressing. Yum. Yum. Yum.
Adding to my pizza review collection, I opted for the Philly pizza, made with cheese sauce, mozzarella, roast beef, sauteed onions, and green peppers. I splurged for the sesame crust and it did make the pizza more special. Other choices include the buffalo chicken and margherita plus options to design your own pizza masterpiece.
Red Ox Tavern offers a nice selection of burgers and sandwiches, as well as main courses like Angus Beef New York Strip Steak, Red Ox Battered Fried Fish, BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Chicken Pot Pie and more.
