Richard Oldacre Named Oakland Community Health Network Chief Operating Officer

Troy, MI – Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) is pleased to announce Richard Oldacre has joined the organization as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Oldacre has 25 years of executive healthcare experience, including holding the positions of COO and Vice President (VP) of hospitals and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC).
Under the direction and leadership of OCHN’s Executive Director and CEO, Dana Lasenby, Mr. Oldacre will serve in leading, planning, directing, and decision making related to OCHN’s program and administrative services. He will work to advance the mission, vision, and value of OCHN as an active participant in local, state, and national workgroups.

As part of the executive leadership team, Oldacre is immediately responsible for the oversight, direction, and coordination for the OCHN’s Operations Division. He is also responsible for managing the service and program operations at OCHN. This includes developing and implementing the organization’s Strategic Plan, Annual Plan, and Budget.
In his previous position, Oldacre led integrated healthcare and quality improvement efforts to achieve national recognition as a National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient Centered Medical Home for a local behavioral health organization. He also established partnerships with St. John Mercy Hospital and St. John Providence Health System to establish new urgent care and outpatient medical centers.
Oldacre’s expertise in the behavioral and physical healthcare space compliments OCHN’s mission, vision, and values to ensure quality, integrated healthcare services to Oakland County residents supported by the public mental health system.
Oldacre has two master’s degrees in health services administration and in Management Information Systems from Florida International University and has a Lean Healthcare Certification from the University of Michigan.

OCHN leads a provider service network that assists approximately 23,000 Oakland County citizens at more than 300 service sites across the county. People who receive public mental health services through OCHN’s provider network include those who have an intellectual or developmental disability, mental health challenge, or substance use disorder. The majority of these individuals have Medicaid insurance coverage.
OCHN’s goal is to ensure these individuals are aware of and have access to services and supports that will improve their health and quality of life, as well as ensure their engagement in full community participation.
