Olivia Visperas Named Troy Community Foundation Director
Troy, MI – The Troy Community Foundation has appointed longtime Troy resident Olivia Visperas McLaughlin as executive director.
“We are pleased to bring Olivia McLaughlin on board as executive director and feel fortunate to have attracted someone of her caliber.  While serving in this part-time capacity, she will assist in managing our growing operations and serving as the main point of contact for our endowment partners.  The board believes that in doing so we are well-positioned to enhance our continued development efforts, and we are all very excited about our future as a community foundation here in Troy,” said Karen Greenwood, Troy Community Foundation board chair.
McLaughlin will also continue doing project management work as a freelance contractor, and serves on numerous nonprofit boards including the Judson Center as an active community volunteer.  She was previously employed as the executive director of the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners, as Regional Public Affairs Manager for Comcast, and as a staffer for former U.S. Senator Spencer Abraham. McLaughlin is a proud alumna of Wayne State University (Detroit, MI) and a graduate of the Academy of Association Management from the Michigan Society of Association Executives.
