Reporter Food: Village Pizza and BBQ in Milford
Milford, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County continues with this fantastic neighborhood pizza joint – Village Pizza in Milford. Located at 134 W. Huron Street, Village Pizza is easily seen by the patio landscape mural, and memorable for the payphone still attached to the building. No, it doesn’t work. But it’s still cool to pick up the receiver and pretend.
As for the food, it was equally charming. I had the Supreme Pizza, loaded with Pepperoni, Ham, Onions, Mushrooms & Green Peppers. The dough was soft and wonderful, and the toppings were plentiful.
I also got an order of fried mushrooms, which came breaded crispy and delicious. Smores was listed on the menu, and I had no idea what that actually would be. Turns out it’s a baked pasty stuffed with a marshmallow-like filling and chocolate, and drizzled with chocolate syrup.
Village Pizza and BBQ has a multiple pizza options including the BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza, the Village Spinach Pizza, Chicken Mediterranean, Asian Chicken Pizza and more. They also offer broasted chicken, a selection of pastas and salads, wings, chops and ribs, and shirmp and cod. Village Pizza and BBQ is located at 134 W. Huron Street in Milford.
