Reporter Food: 313 Pizza Bar in Lake Orion
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Nov. 9, 2021)
Lake Orion, MI – 313 Pizza Bar in Downtown Lake Orion was so good I had to try it twice!
For my first visit I had the pickle pizza – which came topped with diced dill pickle, applewood bacon, garlic cream cheese and house blend cheese. Craving some veggies, I added roasted broccoli and cauliflower tossed in balsamic glaze, olive oil, and garlic.  And I got a salad to save for later – a fresh and heart antipasto salad with romaine lettuce, brown sugar ham, genoa salami, provolone, mozzarella, cuccumbers, hot pepper rings, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, ceci beans and black olives.  All of this was so impressive that I went for a second visit about a week later!
For my second visit I had the double pepperoni pizza with caramelized onion added to it, and the arugula beet salad. The salad had roasted beets, fresh arugula, feta cheese, toasted pecans and dried cranberries and tossed with a balsamic vinaigrette. The pizza had house cheese blend, spicy pepperoni under the cheese with cup and char pepperoni on top, red sauce, grated parmigiano reggiano and Pecorino Romano cheeses.
Other Detroit-style pizza options include The Alarm (Italian sausage, cup and char, jalapeño, hot pepper rings, house blend cheese and red sauce), the Kona (House cheese blend, brown sugar ham, pineapple, red sauce and fresh grated parmigiano Reggiano), and the Chicken Carbonara (House cheese blend, chicken breast, mushrooms, Applewood bacon, garlic Alfredo sauce, fresh ground black pepper, parmigiano reggiano and Pecorino Romano cheese).
In addition to pizza, 313 offers pasta dishes and sandwiches. 313 Pizza Bar is located at 37 East Flint Street in Downtown Lake Orion.  Dine in or order online at https://www.313pizza-bar.com.
