Reporter Food: Indo Indonesian Restaurant in Keego Harbor
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Oct. 7, 2021)
Keego Harbor, MI – At 1535 Cass Lake Road in Keego Harbor is an amazing Indonesian Restaurant called Indo with a well-crafted menu of authentic recipes designed to delight guests.
For my first, but certainly not last, visit I ordered the Pineapple Chicken. Made with chicken breast sauteed with pineapple, white onion, tomatoes and cabbage, served with white rice and vegetable, this flavorful dish was just amazing. I also indulged in a traditional desert of Sweet Purple Rice. This warm sticky purple rice with coconut milk, came topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and added on diced mango.
Other beautiful menu options include Rendang (slow cooked spicy beef with almonds, coconut milk, lemongrass, lime lime, rice and vegetables), Indo Crispy Shrimp (breaded fried shrimp sauteed with mixed peppers, onion, tomatoes, potatoes, Thai basil and rice), and Bihum Goreng Karri (Curry noodles made with vermicelli, egg, white onion, tomatoes, carrots, and bean sprouts with a choice of beef short ribs, pork, chicken, or shrimp). Indo also offers a selection of soups, appetizers and desserts.
