Oct. 8-24 – Zoo Boo Is Back at the Detroit Zoo!
Royal Oak, MI – Zoo Boo, the annual “merry-not-scary” event, returns to the Detroit Zoo for guests of all ages! Tickets are now available for purchase.
Families will love the festive decorations, strolling entertainment, photo opportunities, educational activities and more. The entire Zoo will be open, allowing guests to visit all their favorite animals, learn spooky animal facts and enjoy festive pumpkin displays.
Speaking of pumpkins, Smashing Pumpkins will take place as part of the Zoo Boo festivities. Detroit Zoological Society staff will provide animals with an assortment of seasonal goodies in the animal habitats to stimulate natural behaviors such as foraging.
Zoo Boo will be held on the afternoons of Oct. 8-10, 15-17 and 22-24 from 2 to 6 p.m., with the last entry at 5 p.m. The Zoo will close at 1 p.m. on those days to prepare.
Guests, young and old, are encouraged to wear their costumes, and every child visitor will receive a goodie bag upon arrival. Please note, this is not a trick-or-treating event.
Advance tickets for Zoo Boo start at $13 per person for ages 2 and older. Children younger than 2 are admitted free.
Walk-up tickets will not be sold for Zoo Boo. Purchase your tickets today to guarantee your Zoo Boo experience! This event will sell out!
Space is limited, and prices vary by time and date. Tickets can be purchased either online or on site at Customer Care during daytime Detroit Zoo hours. All tickets must be purchased in advance. Parking is $8 per car for all DZS Members and guests.
